Denise is an amazing instructor, she's so detailed and provides so much valuable information in each class- I have already taken a few of her courses and I keep coming back for more! I love how she has broken up each course by season- the focus for the Fall Match was spooky fall florals- and I loved it! I'm learning so much about flowers and greenery and have been using the field guides whenever I draw. Looking forward to the next course!

I wanted to learn more about digital floral design to elevate my work in unique and beautiful ways. When I saw the post for Denise's spring workshop on Facebook, I immediately saved the post because I knew I wanted to participate when I had the time and money. I kept seeing the ads on my feed -- which was a clear sign that the time is now and that joining would be an investment in me and my growth as an aspiring illustrator and surface designer. So I found the time and money and joined! It was one of the BEST decisions I've made so far this year. The breadth and depth of knowledge that Denise has and shares with you in the workshop is truly awe inspiring. She takes you on an educational journey of digital floral design -- a great balance of structure, technique, and creativity. I've begun to look at flowers and plants through a more intentional lens thanks to Denise -- which has also shaped my creative approach for incorporating flowers and plants into my designs. I can't wait to apply the things I've learned in this workshop. And more importantly, I can't wait to learn and grow more as an artist through her upcoming seasonal workshops. Thank you so much Denise!!

As someone who illustrates a lot of plants and flowers, sometimes you find yourself using the same items over and over or using the same layouts a lot. It's nice to break out of the rut and learn some new things and find fun new things I can add in to my own art.

I don't learn easily or quickly right now, but you made this quite achievable and not overwhelming, even for quite complex materials!

Your workshop showed me the possibility of incorporating my art into digital formats and I hope to get an iPad at some stage to continue the process.

I recently had the pleasure of taking Denise’s Spring Match Workshop. Denise’s guidance was clear, concise, and filled with expert tips that made the learning process enjoyable and accessible. I truly loved all the included handouts as well! By the end of the workshop, I not only felt confident in my ability to create stunning floral designs digitally but also gained a deeper appreciation for the intricate details of floral arrangements. This workshop has truly expanded my creative horizons, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the intersection of digital art and nature-inspired design.

I love drawing florals but it can be so hard to know what to draw and what things to put together. I really enjoyed learning this technique for not only picking florals, but making compositions. I'll definitely be coming back to this!!!

Florals for Products course is perfect for anyone wanting to get started in digital graphics. The course is well-paced, starting with many basics of Procreate and drawing from references. It progresses to include more detailed drawings with variety, working with fabulous color palettes, and then to create a final bouquet ready for printing. Denise is very knowledgeable and experienced.

I started my design education in Illustrator and then I discovered Procreate and wanted to learn how to use my motifs created on my iPad in Photoshop.

I learned a few of the many differences between how you approach a digital drawing from my usual medium. I like the ability to divide the drawing into layers, so that if you get one layer perfect, but need to work on the others, there is less lost time.

Deborah McBean

I appreciated your step by step process and telling us what brushes you were using and the size of brush AND how you set the size of brush etc This was a new trick for me to learn, thanks! It Extended my knowledge in Procreate.
